Going green
I noticed with approval that the last issue of my Healthspan
magazine was printed entirely on recycled paper. But is the rest of
the packaging for your products recyclable?
Mrs P. Haze, Crawley
All the cardboard packaging and plastic tubs that our
products come in are recyclable. Unfortunately, although the grade
of plastic used for our tubs is completely recyclable, not all
county councils see fit to provide the facilities for the recycling
of it. We are therefore endeavouring, wherever possible, to move
products into more environmentally friendly cardboard
packs.
Healthspan delivers
If I could sum up
Healthspan, it would be as follows: ‘Healthspan is without
doubt one of the best suppliers of value-for-money nutritional
supplements of the highest quality. It has excellent product
information, friendly customer service and technical information
available for all its products. It is innovative, constantly
striving to improve in all areas. Quality at a price you can
afford.’ When you have Healthspan, why bother queuing at
health food shops where quality is not always guaranteed?’
Thank you all, keep up the good work.
Mr P. Grimmer, Essex
in your
words...
‘It was in fact our GP who told us that
you were the best company to buy from.’
Mrs T. Betts Hounslow
‘Many thanks for switchng to the superior Optiflex
glucosamine HCl without making customers pay more.’
Mrs K. Johnson Ipswich
‘The new website looks great and it is so much easier to find
what I am looking for. Good work!’
Mr R. Carter Bath Spa
Getting more?
I like the fact that Healthspan are always improving their
supplements but in the case of the new Optiflex glucosamine, how
can it contain 40% more glucosamine than glucosamine sulphate when
the tablet strength remains the same?
Mr J. Bedford, Dartmouth
Glucosamine in its sulphate form is chemically unstable and
needs to be bound to the salt, potassium chloride (2KCl), in a
tablet in order to preserve its quality and efficacy. This means
that although there is 750mg of glucosamine sulphate 2KCl in a
tablet, once the sulphate and potassium chloride are removed, 60%
pure glucosamine remains. However, because Optiflex Glucosamine HCl
is in a hydrochloride form and does not need to be bound to
potassium chloride to maintain its quality, it is a great deal more
stable and each tablet can therefore contain an additional 40% pure
glucosamine.
