Bone Health
Bone is a living tissue which constantly produces new cells to replace the old ones lost as we age. We attain our peak bone mass in our thirties and from then on, the breakdown of old cells begins to occur faster than the production of new ones and our bones can begin to lose density. Over 3 million men and women in the UK suffer from brittle bones (osteoporosis) which increases the risk of fracture. It is therefore important to ensure an adequate intake of essential ‘bone-health’ minerals.
