Chondromax provides a high ratio of chondroitin (400mg) to glucosamine hydrochloride (500mg). The ratio used is identical to that analysed in a scientifically renowned Glucosamine Arthritis Intervention Trial (GAIT*). Healthspan´s Optiflex Glucosamine Hydrochloride included in Chondromax is shell-fish free and provides 40% more pure glucosamine gram per gram than the standard glucosamine 2KCl form. In its natural form, glucosamine exists in all of our joints and plays an important role in the smooth working of joint cartilage, tendons and ligaments. Of equal importance is chondroitin sulphate which is also found naturally in the body´s cartilage matrix. It is important to note that we only use 90% marine chondroitin, sourced exclusively from fish. Many companies use low strength and far cheaper 20% strength chondroitin sourced from the cartilage of cattle which is far less effective. We do not believe that any bovine chondroitin can be guaranteed to be as safe as the marine source used by Healthspan.
