Each Healthspan Ubiquinol capsule contains 100mg of the active ingredient. This level is only achievable by consuming 280mg of CoQ10 which the body would have to efficiently convert in its entirety.

Ubiquinol is the most ‘body-ready’ form of Co-enzyme Q10. CoQ10 is found in all cells of the body and is highly concentrated in the energy intensive cells of the heart. It occurs in two closely related chemical forms; oxidised (ubiquinone) and reduced (ubiquinol).

Until recently, the only way to increase ubiquinol (reduced Q10) levels was to convert it from ubiquinone (oxidised Q10). Research has shown the human body becomes gradually less efficient at this process after the age of 20. However, between the ages of 20-50 a healthy body still manages to convert adequate levels of ubiquinol from CoQ10 supplementation.

Due to recent advances in nutritional science ubiquinol supplementation is now available. As the body’s ability to convert CoQ10 into ubiquinol diminishes at a faster rate after the age of 50 our experts would recommend supplementing your diet with the more bioavailable ubiquinol as it is available for immediate use by the body.

My husband has a heart condition and Ubiquinol really keeps him going.

17 March 2016

I am cautious about results , but as I take simvastatin and clopidrogrel ai felt that I should heed advice and take Ubiquinol. I am positive that it is making a difference. It's a pity that it is so expensive, as it must be mainly retired people who use it and most are on limited lower incomes wherever they live

14 March 2016

I'm hoping it will help either polymyalgia or gum disease.

03 March 2016

I am on statins since having a heart attack some years back and since Ubiquinol is helpful in not depleting some of the good things in your body, I begin to think it is a good vitamin to take.

21 February 2016

I used to obtain this product from a independent high street health food shop until the proprietor closed the business down and retired. I tried a nationally known high street chain but availability was erratic.

21 February 2016

Q10 help in relation to muscle problems as take statins

20 February 2016

I take these because they say it's good for people taking statins.

19 February 2016

The service is excellent and if I don't always receive my pills on time has mostly to do with the Greek postal service.

18 February 2016

I take it to help with night cramps
My husband takes it to help with muscle pain from statins

11 February 2016

I think the service is excellent but would prefer more compact packaging. I realise bottles are not suitable for postage but perhaps something could be designed like a Tic Tac box that is less cumbersome.

10 February 2016

I didn't want to use statins and this product was recommended.

10 February 2016

Stopped taking 20mg Atorvastatin after bad press and looking further into the side effects. In addition to Ubiquinol, taking Plant Sterols, blood test next week so can't currently comment on results of my decision, hence the 'not tried yet' rating. Have been taking Ubiquinol for just over 2 months and the Plant Sterols for longer.
