Ginkgo Biloba and Ginseng are a synergistic combination of antioxidants used to help boost cognitive function.
Ginkgo and ginseng are often combined in supplements, as it is thought that these two natural ingredients work synergistically together to help maintain cognitive function. Recent controlled trials suggest that extracts of gingko and ginseng, standardised to the same levels as this Healthspan formulation, can confer significant improvements in cognitive function (1).
Specially formulated by Healthspan´s nutritionists, our tablets contain 600mg of Korean (Panax) ginseng root in the form of 60mg of concentrated 10:1 extract.
This extract has been standardised so that the amount of ´ginsenosides´ - the active ingredients in ginseng , represent 20% of the extract weight. Each tablet therefore contains at least 12% ginsenosides. They also contain 60mg of concentrated ginkgo biloba extract - equivalent to to 3000mg of ginkgo leaves. This extract has also been standardised to contain 24% of the ´flavone glycolides´ so that each tablet contains 14.4mg of these active ingredients.
