Panax Ginseng has been used for thousands of years for its health benefits in restoring and enhancing mental and physical capacities. Panax ginseng (often called Korean ginseng) represents the original true ginseng with the highest potency.
The medicinal part of the herb is the slow-growing root. Stems and leaves provide less potent ginsenosides (the main natural active compounds of ginseng). The ginsenosides in Healthspan Panax Ginseng are extracted only from the root of the herb after four to six years when their concentration and potency peaks.
Healthspan´s Panax ginseng is standardised to the "gold standard" 1:1 ratio for the two most important ginsenosides - Rg1 (with stimulating properties) and Rb1 (with restorative properties).
Each tablet contains 100mg of standardised Panax ginseng root extract (10:1) equivalent to 1000mg of Panax ginseng root. A recent analysis of products on the market revealed that some so-called ginseng supplements are devoid of active ingredients with many others containing only varying and low amounts of the active ginsenosides. Healthspan Panax Ginseng contains only pure root extract (no stems or leaves), to provide a guaranteed 30mg of natural ginsenosides.
