A THR has been granted for any herbal product that has the basis of 30 years safe traditional use, 15 years of which must be demonstrated within the EU, and only for those that have undergone extensive quality assurance testing in the same way that conventional medicines are quality tested. The positive result for you is that those herbal medicines that hold THR licenses have passed rigorous criteria and will be able to make medicinal claims based on established traditional use.
