Product overview

Vegetarian Suitable for Vegetarians

Vegan Suitable for Vegans

Gelatin free Gelatin Free

One of the only approved vegetarian oil forms in the world, Cerebrum provides a unique, patented form of vegetarian omega 3 essential fatty acid DHA, extracted from algal oil. Two capsules now provide 526mg of algal oil which includes an impressive 200mg of omega 3 DHA which provides support for the normal function of the brain, heart and eyes.

Essential fatty acids are called ‘essential’ because our bodies cannot make enough to supply our needs so they must be obtained from our diet. Ideally, our intake of omega 3 should come from a balanced diet which includes plenty of oily fish but naturally this is difficult for vegetarians.

Cerebrum capsules offer an ideal alternative for those that don’t eat oily fish. Our experts would recommend that anyone taking a vegetarian source of DHA should also consider Flaxseed Oil which provides 620mg Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA) which is converted into the other essential fatty acid EPA.

Please note that the beneficial effects of EPA & DHA are obtained with a daily intake of 250mg.

I don't like the repeated taste that you can get from cod liver oil, Cerebrum is better for that, no problems at all.

One of the few sources of vegetarian DHA Omega 3 available. But preferred the previous shell (soft dark green rather than hard clear shell).
