Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin that contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal blood coagulation. Found naturally in a number of foods such as cauliflower, broccoli and dark leafy green vegetables, there are three types of compound that have vitamin K activity, these are known as vitamin K1, K2 and K3.

The vast majority of vitamin K found in the body is in the K1 form, with some estimating that it accounts for up to 90% of the total figure. However of the three types of vitamin K, the form that has received the highest level of interest from researchers in recent years is K2. This vitamin is very expensive, so many supplement companies do not sell or include it in their formulations. Our nutritional experts feel differently; dedicated to advanced product formulations and leading the way in nutrition they have developed this pure vitamin K2 supplement.

Each Healthspan capsule contains 75mcg (100% of the NRV) of the highest quality vitamin K2.

I'm not sure yet that it does help but having read that vit K helps with osteoporsis, I am willing to give it a try. Perhaps my next DEXA scan will show some results.

I take things to help with arthritis, memory, general health --- things that a 73 year old may be lacking. The only way I can really answer this question is by stopping them for a while (a coupld of years?) and then ask myself how I compare with now!
