Product Overview

Each 8g level scoop contains 3,000mg di-calcium phosphate, 1500mg dl-methionine vital for hoof horn and its protective anti-oxidant power, 97mg zinc citrate (providing 30mg elemental zinc) and 20mg d-biotin essential for hoof horn formation and helps promote healthy skin and hair.

EquiHoof is blended from alfalfa to be more palatable for your horse and comes in an easily re-sealable tub with measuring scoop so it is quick and easy to use.

It is important to be committed to supplementation as the slow growing nature of hoof horn means that any earliest signs of improvement will not be seen until 6-8 weeks after supplementation begins. The cracked, brittle or problem hoof horn needs to grow out first, before the healthier hoof horn will appear.

Feeding Guidelines

Less than 250kg - 4g
250kg - 500kg - 8g
Over 500kg - 12g

Daily intake: Visible results may take time to appear as hoof horn growth is a slow process.

Add to your horse's regular daily feed, preferably in the evening. Mix and feed within 12 hours. During use we advise limiting bran intake as it can affect absorption of calcium. For larger horses, divide supplementation between morning and evening feeds. As with all feed supplements, consult you vet before making significant changes to your horse's diet, particularly if your mare is in foal or lactating. Firmly close container after use. Store in a cool, dry place. For optimum effect please use within 12 months of opening.

I have given Equihoof to my mare for several years now and it really works. She used to have poor hooves and was constantly losing shoes. Within six months of using Equihoof you could really see the difference. It is much cheaper than other makes making it excellent value for money. It pays for itself because I am not constantly ringing the farrier asking him to come back to replace lost shoes.

I ordered this a few weeks ago, the money has been cashed but |I do not have the product. I checked with the post office and postman and then rang your helpline to be told there is a delay. I think you should have informed me of that and not taken my money without explaining.

As with any feed supplement we recommend you consult your vet before making any significant changes to your horse’s diet, particularly if they are on any medication of if your mare is in foal or lactating.
