Run 4 Wales is the event delivery team behind some of Wales’ biggest mass participation running and cycling events. The not-for-profit social enterprise and charitable trust was set up to promote, manage and deliver major sporting events in Wales.
Run 4 Wales endeavours to promote Wales as a sports tourism destination, support grassroots projects and improve the health and well-being of the nation through exercise.
Its current portfolio of events includes the Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon (the UK’s 2nd largest half marathon with 25,000 entrants annually), ABP Newport Wales Marathon, ABP Newport Wales 10K, VELOTHON Wales, Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run and Brecon Carreg Barry Island 10K.
Greatest Achievement: Hosting of the successful IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in the Welsh capital in 2016, where Britain’s Mo Farah won bronze.
