Stan Rawlinson

Canine Behaviourist

A professional dog behaviourist and obedience trainer. Stan has worked with dogs for over 35 years, has written a multitude of articles for dog magazines and has acted as a behavioural expert for many TV shows. Stan works by explaining and demonstrating how to get the most from your dogs covering all aspects of training, behaviour, communication, and body language, including how dogs learn and think. He is an Expert Witness under the Dangerous Dogs Act and assesses dogs for child fostering agencies. Stan is the founder and current chairman of PAACT The Professional Association of Applied Canine Trainers.

Richard Allport

Veterinarian

Richard qualified as a vet in 1973, and after ten years in ‘conventional’ work began to specialise in natural therapies. In 1996 he opened the Natural Medicine Centre, a veterinary referral centre specialising solely in natural therapies for pets including; acupuncture, herbal medicine, homoeopathy, osteopathy and healing. Richard has written three books on the treatment of pets with natural therapies, has been on radio and TV and regularly writes articles about natural medicines in pet magazines.

Kristina Johansen

Canine Nutritionist

Kristina is a qualified canine dietary consultant. Her journey into canine nutrition started out of love for an old rescue dog who was not responding to traditional medicine. She advises on general canine nutrition and home prepared diets working closely with a wide variety of vets. In 2013 she set up Elmo's Kitchen, a specialist canine dietary consultancy who provide nutritional advice to dog owners. In 2014 she also launched her very first App for all dog lovers called Doglicious which allows users to look up over 220 ‘human’ foods to find out whether they are safe or harmful to their dog.

Jackie Murphy

Canine Behaviourist

Jackie Murphy is a canine behavioural consultant and dog trainer and has been working with dogs professionally since 2004. Jackie studied through Compass Education and Training and has recently completed her Graduate Diploma in Animal Behaviour Management. As one of the UK’s leading dog behaviour experts, Jackie has run her own business for over 10 years, advising on all manner of behavioural problems and offering dog training courses.

Trude Mostue

Veterinarian

Trude graduated from the Bristol School of Veterinary Science in 1996. After graduating, Trude was approached by the BBC to take part in the documentary ‘Vet School’, followed by ‘Vets in Practice.’ She went on to present numerous series with the BBC and in her home country of Norway. In addition to her work as a veterinarian, Trude has published five books and has also written regular newspaper columns.

Caron Whaley

Equine Behaviourist

Caron Whaley was the first person personally trained and certified by both internationally acclaimed horse behaviourist, Monty Roberts, and classical riding expert, Heather Moffett. After spending two decades overseas, educating remedial horses and handlers at some of the most prestigious stables, she now brings her global expertise back to the UK. Caron is qualified in the areas of equine ethology (behaviour of wild horses) and equine behaviourism (behaviour of domestic horses), which allows her to ‘get inside’ the head of problem horses and view the world as they see it.

Fiona Watkins

Equine Nutritionist

Fiona Watkins, BSc (Hons), Pro Dip, is a fully qualified, professional UK-based Independent Equine Nutritionist. Three years ago, she set about putting her passion for horses in to practice – with the goal of improving the welfare of equines through nutrition. She is currently the first person to have been awarded with a Professional Diploma from The Open College of Equine Studies (TOCES) in Equine Nutrition. This course concentrates on the physiology of the equine digestive system and associated nutrition for various disciplines. She therefore delivers to her clients, a concise working and practical knowledge of all aspects of equine nutrition.

Justine Harrison

Equine Behaviourist

Justine Harrison is an equine behaviour consultant and trainer certified with the International Society of Animal Behaviour Consultants. She uses the science of behaviour and learning to help horse owners and trainers throughout the UK solve a wide range of behaviour problems including separation anxiety, aggression and phobias. Justine has many years’ experience of riding, competing and handling horses, solving training issues and managing ‘difficult’ horses. Justine is a regular contributor to several equestrian magazines both here in the UK and abroad.

Trystan Stock

Farrier

Trystan Stock is a fully registered farrier based in Helston, Cornwall, offering a reliable and professional service to a wide variety of clients. Having first decided to become a farrier aged only 10 years old, Trystan has pursued his dream and continues to enjoy every aspect of life as a farrier, in particular the opportunity to collaborate with different vets on hoof-care cases. Trystan also gives local talks on hoof care and maintenance.

Freddie Best

Eventer (CIC*) 

Born in Guernsey, Freddie has ridden since a young age. She competed regularly and represented the Island on the BSJA Guernsey Show Jumping junior team for 3 years. At the beginning of the 2014 season she competed in two CIC* competitions and four U21 open Intermediates. She was offered a working pupil placement at Nick Gauntlett’s yard in the same year. Soon after she travelled to France with Nick Gauntlett and Francis Whittington and competed at the end of last season.

Emma Shackell

Eventer (CIC*) 

Emma Shackell is a 20 year old event rider from Bristol. Currently studying to become a Human and Equine Bowen Therapist. She currently competes with her 7 year old 15.3hh ex race horse. He has recently evented up to 1* level, jumping clear round Gatcombe CIC1* and double clear Aldon CIC* placing 15th. She intends to take Alan up through the levels starting with Tattersalls CCI* at the beginning of the season with the aim to compete at 2* by the end of the season.
