Ditch your old school protein shake and mix it up by making this protein rich, hazelnut coffee frappe! Fulfil your protein needs without compromising on taste.



Ingredients


Serves 2
  • 150ml strong coffee
  • 50ml maple syrup
  • 500ml hazelnut milk
  • 200g ice cubes
  • 100ml single dairy cream or plant based cream
  • 2 scoops whey or vegan protein
  • 1 tsp Healthspan caramel latte drops
  • Finely grated dark chocolate, to serve
  • Roasted hazelnuts, to serve

Method

  1. Place the coffee, maple syrup and milk in a large jug and mix to combine. Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze for 4 hours or until frozen.
  2. Place most of the coffee ice cubes in a blender, reserving a few for serving. Add the ice, cream, protein powder and remaining milk and blend until smooth.
  3. Add the reserved coffee ice cubes to a serving glass, top with the coffee frappe and sprinkle with grated chocolate and hazelnuts to serve.
    Tip: make double the ice cubes that you need so that you can make this easy post-gym pick me up anytime you want!
