Gut health problems, their effects and what you can do about them

Common gut conditions include Leaky Gut Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), all of which can have a significant detrimental effect on our wellbeing. The articles on this page aim to give you a more detailed understanding of some of the conditions associated with gut health, as well as what you can do to alleviate the symptoms.

Many people will take a probiotic to help with a gut condition, but as there’s no concrete evidence to suggest that probiotics can be beneficial, we encourage you to always consult your GP and to perform your own research.

While it’s not known what causes IBS, some research has found probiotics taken daily for six months can help reduce symptoms by up to 42% (compared to just 6% with placebo).
