Description
What is L-Arginine?
L-Arginine was discovered in the 19th century and since then the understanding of its role in the human metabolism has increased considerably. L-Arginine is one of 21 amino acids found naturally in our bodies. Amino acids are the building blocks that link together to form proteins; they are also sources of energy, like fats and carbohydrates. L-Arginine contributes to a number of vital functions and plays an important role in the synthesis of nitric oxide. In 1998, three American scientists received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discoveries concerning nitric oxide as a signalling molecule in the cardiovascular system. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to open wider leading to an improved blood flow.
Why choose Healthspan's L-Arginine tablets?
We use only free base l-arginine, which is the most easily absorbed form of this amino acid and delivers much higher levels per gram compared to standard l-arginine hydrochloride.
