Why a Multivitamin?
The importance of achieving the essential vitamins and minerals our bodies need to function daily is no secret. Ideally this should come from a well-balanced diet, but the reality is we lead busy lives and even with the best will in the world, a well-balanced diet can still leave us short of some essential nutrients.
For example, a study published in The Journal of Horticultural Science found that, since 1940 the vitamin, mineral and protein levels of fruit and vegetables has fallen by anywhere between 5% and 40% as a result of nutrient dilution effects, such as poor soil quality .
It is therefore no surprise that the vast majority of nutritionists and health experts recommend that everyone considers taking a multivitamin as a daily nutrition insurance policy.
