What is Beta Carotene?

Beta carotene is one of a family of naturally occurring ingredients called 'carotenoids' and is found in dark green and yellow-orange vegetables such as carrots and cantaloupe melon. Healthspan Beta Carotene is ideal for those whose diet may not include a wide variety of carotenoid-rich foods.

What are the benefits?

Beta carotene is considered to be one of the most important carotenoids as it is a pre-cursor to the powerful antioxidant vitamin A. Our bodies have the ability to convert beta carotene into vitamin A as and when required, ensuring safe levels of this important vitamin. It is well known that vitamin A plays an important role in the maintenance of normal vision.

What is in each tablet?

Each Healthspan tablet contains 7mg of natural beta carotene, which is in line with the Department of Health’s maximum recommended intake for safe consumption.

For further eye support we also recommend you consider Retinex or Retinex Max.
