I qualified as a vet in 1973, and after ten years in ‘conventional’ work began to specialise in natural therapies. In 1996 I opened the Natural Medicine Centre, a veterinary referral centre specialising solely in natural therapies for pets: in particular acupuncture, herbal medicine, homoeopathy, osteopathy and healing. I always emphasise to clients the importance of a good natural diet, and the use of supplements where appropriate.
I have written three books on the treatment of pets with natural therapies, and in the past have been on local, and occasionally national, radio and TV. I also write articles on the subject of natural medicines in pet magazines.
