1997 - 1998
FREEPHONE ORDERING


By 1997 we opened our first UK-based call centre. We now employ over 100 call centre staff who remain at the heart of our business, ensuring you receive unparalleled customer service. By 1998 we had a range of over 40 products.

1999 - 2001
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT


We were the first company to launch a product with clinically proven optimum levels of glucosamine and chondroitin. To this day ChondroMax remains our No.1 customer favourite. By 2001 we had launched our VetVits range for the well-being of your pets.

2002 - 2005
VOTED UK'S BEST QUALITY


Our Cod Liver Oil was found to be the purest of 33 products in independent Government tests. We also launched our new nurture skincare range. In 2003 we were voted the UK's best quality vitamin brand by Readers' Digest. We go on to win these awards for many years.

2006 - 2007
OPTIFLEX LAUNCH


We celebrated our 10-year anniversary and we were the first UK company to change our entire glucosamine sulphate range to the far more sustainable, vegetarian, allergen-free glucosamine HCl. Glucosamine HCl also provides our customers with 40% MORE glucosamine per tablet.

2008 - 2010
DOING OUR BIT


We introduced our letterbox friendly packaging, saving our customers those inconvenient trips to the post office. By 2010 we had started the process of becoming the first company to fully comply with the Government's new THR scheme. During the same year we also gain Friend of the Sea certification due to our responsible and sustainable sourcing of fish.

2011-2012
£400,000 FOR CANCER RESEARCH


One of our proudest moments - Healthspan and our customers donate £400,000 for Dr Roger Allsopp as he swam the Channel in aid of cancer research. At the age of 70, Roger became the oldest person to swim the Channel. In 2012 we welcomed Dr Hilary Jones to our team of nutritional experts
