What is Glucosamine & Omega 3?
Glucosamine occurs naturally in the body's connective tissue and is a structural component of joint cartilage − the flexible tissue that protects the bones from friction at the joints. As we age, our bodies produce less glucosamine, leaving our joints more vulnerable to damage. Omega 3 fish oil contains the fatty acids DHA and EPA, which have been found to be beneficial to our overall heart health, as well as keeping our eyesight and brains in good working order*. One of the main reasons scientists have long rated the Mediterranean diet for health is its fish content. In fact, the UK's Food Standards Agency recommends we eat at least two portions of fish every week, including one of oily fish, such as sardines, mackerel and salmon.
