What are green lipped mussels?
Green−lipped mussels are a naturally rich source of amino acids, because they contain all the major classes of complex proteins called glycosaminoglycans, in a biologically balanced combination. Glycosaminoglycans are naturally found in our connective tissues and are key structural components of joint cartilage. New Zealand waters have the right condition for mussels' growth. These mussels are exposed to long hours of sunlight, making them rich in nutrients and enzymes.
Why choose Healthspan's Green−Lipped Mussel capsules?
If you're looking to support your bone and cartilage health then these capsules could be the answer. Each capsule contains 500 mg of green−lipped mussel powder and 40 mg vitamin C, which assists the formation of collagen in your body, which in turns helps the normal function of cartilage and bones. We make our capsules only from green−lipped mussels responsibly sourced from the clean and clear waters of New Zealand. These waters are rigorously monitored by the New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF), ensuring our mussels come from a pure source before they are added into our capsules.
Many people choose to take Green−Lipped Mussel alongside a glucosamine and chondroitin supplement for extra benefit. Check the Optiflex® Glucosamine and Chondroitin products in our range if you require further support.
