Karen’s story
With five children and eight grandchildren – one of whom she’s recently read all the Harry Potter books with – 79-year-old Karen Tilden needs bags of energy. And she has it. ‘I never really feel tired,’ says Karen who lives in the Wirral - something she attributes partly to a small dark capsule she started taking ten years ago: Coenzyme Q10 100mg.
Why Coenzyme Q10?
Described as the body’s spark plug, Coenzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring substance found in all the body’s cells particularly the heart.
Formulated with Vitamin B1, Healthspan’s Coenzyme Q10 contributes to heart health and energy production*, making it an especially great choice for Karen. A bleed on the brain 30 years ago left her unable to walk for several months. A stay in a rehabilitation home in Savernake Forest got her back on her feet and she hasn’t looked back since.
Karen’s daily routine
As well as her prescribed statins and blood pressure tablets, Karen takes a Healthspan Multivitality 70+ and omega-3 supplement every day. Coenzyme Q10 is also an essential part of this daily regime. ‘It’s a small, soft, gel capsule, super easy to swallow, and great value.’ at just 40p a day on Healthspan’s Subscribe and Save service.
Since retiring, Karen has enjoyed the chance to slow down a little. ‘I used to be very, very active,’ she recalls of her years working in community care, visiting older people in their homes. ‘These days I’m quite happy to potter about in the garden.’ But she still needs energy for her grandchildren.
Why Karen recommends Healthspan
A loyal Healthspan customer, Karen says, ‘All their supplements are excellent. I’ve used them for years, and their customer service is second to none.’ As for that little Coenzyme Q10 100mg, she adds, ‘I intend to keep on taking it. It suits me very well.’
