From Parkrun and Clubbercise to weights and walking, Jayne has made Joint Synergex® part of her daily routine as she looks after her joints and stays active in retirement.

At 64, Jayne May brims with life and vitality. As she puts it, “I’m very active,” which is something of an understatement.
Jayne’s life, filled with friends, outings, walking and running, is a world away from her working years as the owner of a hotel in Torquay, a pub and a fish and chip shop.
“It was hard work. There was no time for socialising or for anything else really,” says Jayne, who lives with her husband of 40 years in Cornwall.
An active retirement
These days Jayne is a stalwart of “St Ives Walks, Wine and Fun”, through which she has made many friends.
“We walk all over Cornwall, go on day trips, visit National Trust places, and have nights – and days – out at pubs and discos.”
Jayne also lifts weights at the gym and does Clubbercise, a dance-based fitness class in the dark with glow sticks.
After completing the Couch to 5K programme and getting into Parkrun, Jayne recently completed the Falmouth Race for Life 10K, an event with special resonance as she and her husband have both had brushes with cancer.
Since retiring eight years ago, the couple, who also have a son and a grandson, have embraced their newfound freedom with enthusiasm. Although he’s not a runner, Jayne’s husband plays golf, walks and sails.
“All in all we're a pretty fit couple,” she laughs.
Why Jayne chose Joint Synergex®
During Jayne’s working years, long hours on her feet, running up and down stairs and lifting heavy bags of potatoes made her particularly conscious of looking after her joints.
She previously took glucosamine supplements, which she says helped her stay mobile and free from the occasional twinge.

For Jayne, Joint Synergex® has become part of the routine that accompanies the active life she loves.
She says she particularly noticed a difference when she stopped taking it for two weeks before surgery in December 2025.
“I was aware of getting a bit stiff, so I was really happy to go back on it,” she says.
Jayne takes Joint Synergex® with a multivitamin before she goes to bed and says it couldn’t be easier. She also has it on subscription so she never runs out.
“It’s one less thing to think about because I don’t want anything to slow me down,” she adds.
She regularly runs up the steep drive to her house and says staying mobile is a priority.
“It’s worth every penny to help me keep going. If I didn’t take it, you never know, I might wake up one day stiff and be unable to do that walk or run.”
And with that, she’s bounding off on her next 5K.
