Meet Snowy
When Juliet Watling got her rescue dog Snowy two years ago, he was full of beans. Too full, in fact.
“He used to pester our old Scottie dog, Millie, who was then 12, to play all the time,” says Juliet, who lives near Bude in Cornwall.

Meet Snowy
Snowy is a four-year-old West Highland White Terrier cross. Juliet adopted him as a rescue dog two years ago.
The older and more sedate Millie, who has sadly now passed, didn’t take kindly to the new arrival. Snowy, a West Highland White Terrier cross, is now four and was also quite nervous outside the house, especially around other people and dogs.
“I would be wary of what his reaction was going to be if there were other people around. And obviously I would try not to let him pester other dogs and go bounding off, which is what he used to do.”
Looking for something to help Snowy
Snowy’s behaviour prompted Juliet to look for something to help support him.
At first, she tried a product from another company, but Snowy turned up his nose.
“It had quite a strong smell and it put him off his food,” recalls Juliet.
That’s when Juliet, a long-term Healthspan customer for both herself and her husband, discovered MagiCalm® for Dogs, a gentle, tasty beef-flavoured, vet-formulated supplement made with magnesium, B vitamins, calming amino acids and chamomile, designed to help support calmer behaviour and emotional balance.

Changes at home
Westie crosses are known for their energy, intelligence and mischievous character, and Snowy is no exception. But since adding MagiCalm® to his routine, Juliet says there have been fewer problems both at home and on walks.
“Snowy became much calmer at home and stopped his pestering,” says Juliet, who before retiring worked in an automotive factory.
“As a result, Millie and Snowy became friends and companions.”
Easier walks with Snowy
Outside the house, Snowy’s behaviour also became easier to manage.
“We noticed he was listening more and we were more able to rely on him not to suddenly go after another dog or go bounding off,” she adds.
True to his breed, Snowy is still a lively little chap with a big personality.
“He’s a lovely, friendly dog and these days he is much better behaved around other dogs. He still likes to say ‘Hello’ and try to play but once he has, he happily does his own thing.”
A calmer companion
These days, Juliet positively looks forward to walks with Snowy on the beach and her visits to local gardens, which she loves as a keen gardener.
“We’ve got a much calmer dog and it’s been much easier to take him out and about and do things with him.”
As for Snowy, Juliet says, “He is so calm. I would certainly recommend MagiCalm® to other dog owners.”
